About Us
In an effort to launch the first truly interactive, engaging site for kids, planning for KidsCom began in 1994 (when there were barely 10,000 sites on the entire Web). The site launched in February 1995, leading to the creation of the KidsCom Company in July of 1996.

Thanks to our interest in the entire family, we split off the "for parents" section of KidsCom and created ParentsTalk in late 1995. We changed our name to Circle 1 Network in 1998.

Mousers had always been a section of KidsCom dedicated to younger kids, and in 2001 we split that off to a separate site, KidsCom Jr. to better focus on kids ages 3-7 and their parents.

In addition to publishing our family of sites, Circle 1 Network started the longest running study ever conducted on kids on the Internet. The first survey was in 1995, and we resurvey kids every year to learn what they like and don't like about the Internet, how they see the future of the medium and how their parents are involved.
